Yomijin Support
Quick answers for setup, reading, subscriptions, and your local data.
The dictionary is still downloading
The first launch downloads roughly 112 MB of Japanese dictionary data. Keep Yomijin open on a stable connection until the progress finishes. If it stalls, confirm the device has free storage, fully close and reopen Yomijin, and try again. Your sources and editions will not be erased.
Restore Yomijin Pro
Open Settings → Yomijin Pro and choose Restore Purchases. Use the same Apple Account or Google Account that made the purchase. Restoring does not charge you again.
Manage or cancel a subscription
- iPhone or iPad: open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Android: open Google Play, tap your profile, then Payments & subscriptions.
Deleting Yomijin does not automatically cancel a subscription.
Read offline
Articles are available offline after an edition has fetched them. Feed refreshes, new article downloads, uncached English translations, AI Tutor, and network pronunciation audio require a connection. Dictionary lookup and already-downloaded reading remain on the device.
Back up or move your data
Use Settings → Storage → Export Backup to create a backup file. On another installation, choose Import Backup. Keep the exported file somewhere safe; Yomijin does not maintain a cloud copy.
An article will not load
Some publishers block reader access or change their feed. Try opening the original page, refreshing later, or removing and re-adding the source. Include the source URL when contacting support so the issue can be reproduced.
